The apartment listing website Rentcafé compared renter protection laws in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, and found that Oregon is the 8th most renter-friendly state. The rankings were made using 10 common features of landlord-tenant relationships, including security deposits, rent increases, and eviction notices. Washington ranked 14th on the list.
