The Oregon Legislature passed
HB 4213 on Friday, which extends Governor Brown's eviction moratorium to September 30th. Tenants will be responsible for paying any back rent owed by March 31, 2021. Tenants are required to inform their landlords within two weeks of the moratorium's end date if they plan to use the grace period to pay back the rent they owe. If a tenant fails to do so, the landlord can charge the tenant with a penalty equal to half of the monthly rent.
