Portland City Attorney Warns City Council about Legal Issues in Tenant Screening & Security Deposit Ordinances

According to the Portland Tribune, the Portland City Attorney's Office sent a legal memo to City Council outlining potential legal pitfalls for Commissioner Eudaly's proposed tenant screening and security deposit ordinances. While City Attorney Tracy Reeve declined to release the memo to the public, Mayor Wheeler indicated that the memo ranked legal challenges from "low" to "high."
