Portland Monthly reports on four new apartment projects either under construction or awaiting final approval that "could change downtown forever." From Old Town/Chinatown to the Pearl to the heart of the Arts District, these buildings will add another 1,039 living spaces downtown (including about 80 units of affordable housing). With amenities including outdoor pools, decked rooftops with chefs kitchens. and fire pits - but no playgrounds... yet.
