City to Ask Voters to Tax Themselves $258 Million On 1,300 Units of Low Income Housing

Portland needs nearly 24,000 affordable housing units to meet demand as market rate for new apartments closes in on $2k per month. The City plans to ask voters to tax themselves about $75 a year for $258 million to build 1,300 units. The Oregonian Editorial Board weighs in.
