How the Crash Will Reshape America

The Atlantic recently published a great article on how and when the U.S. might come out of the current economic downturn (please follow link below to article). Portland is now above 12% unemployment and some apartment owners are feeling the pinch. The Portland Metro Area, due mainly to the attractive lifestyle it offers its residents, is still seeing a healhy in-migration from less affordable states which should help landlords survive the downturn.

36 Unit Apartment Complex in NE Portland Sells For $2.725 Million

The 36-unit Raven Apartments located in NE Portland have sold for $2.725 million or $75,694 per unit. This 2004 construction apartment complex consisted of 2 Bd / 1.5 Ba Townhomes and 2 Bd / 1 Ba Flats and is located near MAX light rail. The buyer was Crow Apartments LLC and the seller was Raven Apartments LLC of Portland, OR. HFO Investment Real Estate represented both parties in this transaction.
