IRS Postpones Some Tax Deadlines for Victims of Oregon Wildfires

 The IRS announced on Wednesday that it will extend the deadline to file business taxes and some individual taxes for victims of the Oregon wildfires and straight-line winds that began September 7th. Taxes with payments or filing deadlines after September 7th but before January 15, 2021 will be postponed to January 15, 2021. The extension applies to residents of Clackamas, Douglas, Jackson, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, and Marion counties. Taxes eligible to be postponed include third quarter estimated tax payments as well as tax filings for people and businesses who have received a postponement to October 15, 2020. Read more.
