The Portland City Council passed a $2 million grant package last week that is expected to support up to 150 local businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses with fewer than 50 employees that make less than $2 million in annual gross revenue and have seen at least a 25% decline in revenue since February 1st are eligible for the funding. Businesses can expect between $2,000 and $10,000 in grant money if they are chosen, and funds will be dispersed starting Friday, April 10th. Applications are due by 11:59 PM on April 1st.
