An editorial in the Bend Bulletin urges the city to avoid following in the footsteps of Portland when it comes to landlord-tenant law. The Bulletin takes particular issue with Portland's 90-day eviction notice ordinance as well as Commissioner Chloe Eudaly's proposal to change the way landlords can screen tenants. According to the Bulletin's editors, "No city, not Portland and certainly not Bend, should eviscerate the decision-making power of business owners."
