Tenant Advocates Pressuring State Senators to Lift Rent Control Ban

The Willamette Week reports that while a majority of Oregon State Senators do not currently support lifting the statewide ban on rent control, tenant advocates are putting pressure on senators representing Portland in hopes of changing their minds. SEIU 49 political director Felisa Hagins is hoping to reach Sen. Rod Monroe (D-East Portland), who has previously stated that he does not believe rent control works.
