The Editorial Board of the Portland Tribune interviewed City Council Commissioner Steve Novick and his opponent, Chloe Eudaly on a number of issues at the forefront of the coming election in November. Eudaly claimed Novick was disinterested in affordable housing, and also suggested the City of Portland could enact rent control despite a statewide ban. Novick argued that the state should overturn the ban, and called for a "much bigger discussion" of a rent control policy in Portland.
